Auckland Council’s Proud Centres present an exhibition of light boxes at Freyberg Square in the city centre to celebrate our Pride heritage. Images of hero parades, marches and places Queer communities frequented, capture the look, sound and feel of our past and present LGBTQI+ communities. This exhibition has been brought together to commemorate 50 years of Pride in Tāmaki Makaurau and to acknowledge people who paved the way forward as well as those who have picked up the mantle and continue the mahi for Rainbow communities and whānau.
