Pride Family Fun Day

As part of the Auckland Pride Festival 2022, Auckland Museum presents Pride Family Fun Day. We warmly welcome LGBTQIA+ families and their allies to a fun-filled day of craft activities and entertainment, including a DJ in Te Ao Mārama and drag queen storytime in Te Whiwhinga, our Imaginarium. Be welcomed by vibrant pavement chalk drawings as you enter the building into Te Ao Mārama - the South Atrium - which will be the base for crafts such as badgemaking and a giant handprint artwork. You'll even be able to have your face (or arm) rainbow-painted. Our Learning Labs will be transformed into a rainbow chill-out room with music and more crafts to make. And if that isn't enough, we'll also be giving away sweet treats and spot prizes. Auckland Museum is a safe and inclusive place for all, and we welcome all families to come and celebrate the richness of the society in which we live. Happy Pride, everyone!
