Through various pūrākau, the artists will hold a fluid conversation with the wā within and around the Basement.

EVEN IN STRIFE THE MAUNGA STAY BIG: A fresh set from supernova performer Ana Chaya Scotney aka Kōtiro, known for her looped beats, harmonies and stacked vocals combined with deeply soulful lyricism. Ana Chaya Scotney is Tūhoe/Jewish force-to-be-reckoned with, a performer and musician, who recently released music video Force Field through Coco Solid’s label Kuini Control. Force Field became an instant cult hit. Responding to the radiance and slow-moving stoicism of our whenua, these new waiata are a response to some of the personal challenges faced in this passage of time; exploring these narratives through folk melodies and progressions . Kōtiro brings us a new set of fresh stories through sonics. Kōtiro's sets is intimate, genuine, like gen-u-wine, and nothing short of magical.
