Rainbow Actors Workshop

Rainbow Equity NZ presents: Rainbow Actors Workshop. This is a full day acting workshop aimed at upskilling the vibrant Rainbow, LGBTQIA+ and Takatāpui actors of Tāmaki Makaurau. This is an incredible opportunity for our rainbow acting community to take part in a workshop day with industry-leading tutors from the rainbow community.

The day is designed in a way that each section builds on the last. Tutors will use the same prescribed text to give participants a day to learn new approaches to craft and fully embody a scene.

The objective is to have rainbow performers leave the workshop day with new and repeatable tools, more confidence, and better connections to the rainbow acting community.

The tutors include award-winning and celebrated practitioners, Sara Wiseman, Ahi Karunaharan, Hayden Tee, Cherie Moore and Katrina George (subject to change).

We encourage applications from rainbow actors from diverse backgrounds including but not limited to QPOC, differently abled, young and older actors. Emerging and experienced actors alike are welcome to apply. We intend for this workshop to be accessible to all passionate rainbow actors!
